" "A Place of Worship For All People" "

Christian Women’s Fellowship

The Christian Women’s Fellowship has been a vital ministry in the church for over fifty years. It is for all women of the church and offers worship, study, spiritual growth, service and fellowship. Meetings are held from September through June.

New Day for Christian Women” is the study-guide used by Disciple women for bible study, mission education and social action. A companion to New Day is Searching for God’s Direction, a guide for leaders.

The women are responsible for organizing the mission work of the church. They prepare and serve a free dinner to the community the first Saturday of each month, promote the six special day offerings throughout the year, and oversee the “Operation Christmas Child” project.

The group supports the Brunswick Food Pantry, the Cleveland Christian Home and the Oaks Family Center in Brunswick. They contribute $900 yearly to Disciples mission work through Church Finance Council and they maintain a “We Care” Fund, which is used for special needs of Brunswick residents. The ladies also take meals to members and friends of the congregation when illness occurs.

“Blessing Boxes have been a part of C.W.F. for many years. They are a special way to express their gratitude to God for the blessings they receive. Money is placed in special boxes throughout the year and in June the gifts are collected and sent to Disciples’ missions. The boxes are then refilled year after year.

The C.W.F. join women from 11 other participating Brunswick churches for an “Ecumenical Dinner” in October and an “Ecumenical Breakfast” in May. A program and time of fellowship follow the meal. These events are special to the women, as they offer an opportunity to get to know their sisters in Christ from other local churches.

C.W.F. is a member of “Church Women United,” a worldwide organization. Meetings are held with other Medina County churches four times each year.
